Butter Cookies

ChristmasCookies

Cream together:

1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter

1/2 Cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar

1/4 Cup Ganulated Sugar

Beat in:

1 Egg

1 tsp. Vanilla

                                 Mix in:

2 Cups Multi-Grain NanaCake Mix

Dough should be stiff.  Form into balls, spoon tablespoons of dough onto a greased cookie sheet, or use a rolling pin and cookie cutters or spritz cookie press.  If using a spritz cookie press, reduce the amount of NanaCakes mix slightly so that dough is not too stiff.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Makes 2 1/2 dozen.

Cinnamon Button Cookies

(Perfect for Gingerbread Men)

Make butter cookie recipe and add 2 tsp. cinnamon

Multi-Grain Peanut Butter Cookies

Make butter cookie recipe and add 1/2 cup peanut butter

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Make butter cookie recipe and add 1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips

Optional: 1/2 C. Chopped Nuts or Raisins


Multi-Grain Pumpkin Scones

Cream together:

1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter

1/2 Cup Packed Brown Sugar

1/4 Cup Sugar

1 tsp. Vanilla 

1 tsp. Pumpkin Spice

1/2 tsp. Cinnamon

Mix in:

1 Egg

1 Cup Canned Pumpkin (approximately 1/2 a 15oz. can)

Add and mix until completely blended:                                                           

3 Cups NanaCake MG Mix

 Drop Tablespoons of batter on a greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Let cool on cookie sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.  Top with cream cheese glaze. 

Cream Cheese Glaze

Cream together:

4 oz. Cream Cheese

1/2 tsp. vanilla

Slowly add:

2-3 Cups Powdered Sugar until glaze is desired consistency.
